PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. (WISN) – A bizarre theft in Wisconsin was caught on police body camera.

Authorities said a woman stole a fire department pickup truck, turned on its emergency lights and drove off.

When officers finally tracked her down, they found something else they weren’t expecting.

The woman behind the wheel of the stolen Pleasant Prairie Fire Department pickup was not responding to an emergency.

As police questioned the suspicious driver, the officer discovered the woman wasn’t dressed for the occasion, or at all.

“Why are you naked right now?” the police officer could be heard saying.

“I am supposed to be meeting someone,” she responded.

The naked woman, now identified as 36-year-old Emily Fair, is charged with operating a motor vehicle without owner’s consent.

According to court documents, the bizarre case started just before 1 a.m. Tuesday.

Investigators said Fair was caught on video climbing into the pickup truck, turning on the emergency lights and driving away from Fire Station 3 in Pleasant Prairie.

Minutes later, dispatchers heard strange calls on the radio.

“I’m hungry. You got food in there?” Fair said.

It would take officers an hour to find the truck near a Department of Public Works garage.

Fair was still in the driver’s seat.

Officers later found Fair’s dress in the bed of the truck before taking her to get checked out, and then taking her into custody.

Fair is scheduled for a competency hearing later this month.

If convicted, Fair could face up to six years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
